Chorale Connections Commissioning Project

Over the years, Vocális has welcomed some incredible guests as part of our Choral Connections program. These have included renowned choral composers Ola Gjeilo, Bob Chilcott, and most recently Jake Runestad.

As we move towards our 25th anniversary, we are planning to expand this endeavor by commissioning a new work each year. The Choral Connections Commissioning Project, funded primarily by donor-designated contributions, will add to the magnificent choral tradition handed down to us, while at the same time supporting the extraordinary talents of current composers.

We hope you will consider contributing to our latest commission, as well as future commissions.

My Contribution:

“Vocális’ voices are incredible and beautifully balanced. Their phrasing is so exquisitely sculpted as to sound seamless. This choir is impeccably rehearsed, and the singers all sound completely in tune with each other, in every sense of the word.” “…haunting,” “…otherworldly.”
